💧 Replacement grip
The original grip wears out over time and loses its thickness and softness. A replacement grip helps restore handle comfort and provides a better feel and control. New rackets are sold with a replacement grip. With proper racket maintenance, replacing the replacement grip is usually not necessary.
Main reasons for replacement grip wear:
- You don’t use overgrips – the replacement grip wears down mechanically
- You keep the racket in your bag while wet – after training, the handle is sweaty and wet, and it should be dried
- You don’t dry or replace overgrips in time – the replacement grip starts to smell bad, making it unpleasant to hold the racket

Why change it?
An overgrip absorbs sweat, improves grip, and protects the replacement grip. Once it becomes slippery, shiny, or dirty, it no longer serves its purpose.
How to change it?
- Remove the old overgrip.
- Start installing the new grip from the bottom of the handle, moving upwards in a spiral.
- Secure the end with the special sticker or tape.
Tip: change your overgrip every few games – especially in summer or during intense use.
